Thought for the day

  • Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
  • Never be afraid to try something new. Remember that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built the Titanic
The below text is plagiarized from someone else's blog. I had a crush for this girl who was couple of years senior to me.Very sweet and intelligent kinds...its been many years since i've even thought about her and today i stumbled across her profile on Orkut. I checked out her blog and well...her intelligence and charm have only increased with age...:)

I never thought someone so talented and generous could house such a twisted mind.
It often happens, don't you think? A person who excels or is extremely talented at something seems to ignore other aspects of his/her personality.
The head of a company is a pedophile, a best-selling writer is drawn to suicide, a high flying designer has a history of drug abuse, an award-winning photographer has a string of disastrous relationships.Where is the balance we are all seeking?
How tough it is to keep the ship afloat, and just about manage to anchor on safe land.
The bottom line is, no matter how far we go or how successful we get, there are so many aspects that remain unfulfilled, so many bones of contention, so many unhappy moments and so many desires that die without being realised.
Is it so hard for us to believe that sometimes we just fail, sometimes we just aren't good enough, or perhaps we just aren't there are the right place at the right time.
It's so hard for us to accept our shortcomings, so very hard. When we care, we want feedback, when we succeed we want applause and when we love, we want to possess. All of which mean that our happiness depends on someone else or something else.
A tiny nudge to the balance tends us reeling off our sanity and we flail about till we once again feel the false sense of comfort we were seeking in the first place. How then do we keep the ship afloat?
